So when planning what to write, try talking to just one customer or reader at a time. Then cycle through each reader type, watching your Goal Trackers, so you know you’re reaching them all.
ABOUT INFLUENCERS
What is an “Influencer?” An online authority who has followers that believe and listen to their opinions, interests and preferences. They can be other bloggers, social media personalities, celebrities, experts, marketers, thought leaders and tastemakers.
Why address Influencers? Because they can help you grow your audience quickly. When you give them (or their product/service) a positive mention and link to them, they become aware of your brand. If they like what they see, they’re likely to link back, and, if you’re lucky, they’ll mention you to their followers. Influencers are a great way to quickly and cheaply grow your audience.
ABOUT SUPERFANS
What’s a SuperFan? A customer who loves your stuff SO much, they just HAVE tell others about your brand. They’re the people who’ll do your Viral Marketing and “sneeze” you brand all over other people. (Get it? Sneeze coz they’ve caught your brand and will spread it to others 😉
ABOUT INFO SEEKERS
Info Seekers are people who don’t even know they’re looking for your stuff. They’re just looking to solve a problem, so they search online for their problem. They may not be there to buy — yet! But if you can help them with info to solve a problem, a seed will be planted and your brand will be remembered.
Use the Goal Tracker ratios however you’d like.
One business might do 50-50 between New and Existing Customers because they don’t want to use the others. Another might want to do 75% New Customers and an equal smattering of the others. It’s just whatever makes the most sense for your business model or industry. (When in doubt, shoot for 20% across the board.)
